Our firm is managed by its lead attorney, David Murphree. David is a 1991 graduate of the Cumberland School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Cumberland Law Review. David was also the recipient of the Order of the Coif and a Cordell Hull Fellowship.

After graduation, David served as the law clerk to the Honorable Tamara O. Mitchell, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Alabama. David is a frequent speaker at bankruptcy seminars, and has written extensively on many issues related to consumer bankruptcy.

Following his graduation from Auburn University in 1985, David pursued a career in journalism. David is an award-winning newspaper writer and editor, and his work has been read in a variety of publications ranging from USA Today, Birmingham magazine, the Detroit Free Press, and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. David’s interviews from his news career range from sports legends such as Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson, and celebrities from Jay Leno to The Amazing Kreskin.
